2022 Children's Dance Education and Outreach Event

ABOUT

KDA is pleased to host the Children’s Dance Education and Outreach Event on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 4:30 pm. This private and FREE event benefits local children from organizations that serve underserved children by closing the arts gap and making the arts more accessible via an afternoon of arts-centric programming at one of Kern County’s most treasured theaters, the Historic Bakersfield Fox Theater!

The Children’s Dance Education and Outreach Event provides children with a live dance performance, dance class + choreography, and the opportunity to perform on the Fox stage. Additionally, children learn about the history of the Fox, will be provided afternoon snacks, and a commemorative t-shirt. Children interested in continuing formal dance training can apply for scholarships to attend any dance studio of their choice after the event.

ITINERARY

4:00 PM- Doors Open
4:30 PM- Performance Begins
5:15PM- Dance Class Begins
6:00PM- Children’s Performance On Stage
6:15PM- Q/A with Performers
6:30 PM- Event Ends

TRANSPORTATION

All participating children, guardians, and families will need to provide their own transportation to/from the event. KDA is happy to work with interested parties in securing safe transportation.
