Kern Dance Alliance and the Bakersfield Angels are excited to announce Dancing with the Angels, a family affair focused on using the arts to connect our foster care community through movement, music, and visual art.
About Dancing with the Angels
On Saturday, April 9 at Garces Memorial High School, Dancing with the Angels will feature dance classes taught by Kern County dance educators from the Bakersfield City Ballet, Bakersfield Line Dancers, and DAT Krew. Additionally, the Playful Space will provide hands-on visual art experiences, and a music education class will offer an introduction to a variety of instruments.
Dancing with the Angels is an opportunity for foster families and youth to enjoy an artful experience rooted in connecting parents/guardians with their children. Dancing with the Angels will foster creativity and self-expression, promote trust and communication, build confidence and teamwork, and will offer a day where achievements are celebrated and memories are made through a valued community experience.

10:05 - 10:45 am- Dance Class #1 - Line Dance w/ Bakersfield Line Dancers / Music / Visual Art
11:00 - 11:45 am- Dance Class #2 - Creative Movement with Bakersfield City Ballet / Music / Visual Art
12:00 - 12:45 pm- Dance Class #3 - Hip Hop with DAT Krew / Music / Visual Art
1:00 pm - FREE lunch sponsored by Subway
Dancing with the Angels Registration
Dancing with the Angels is a FREE event.
Participants are invited to register their families for Dancing with the Angels. Family participation is encouraged and it is recommended that families register for the same class so that they may experience the day together.

Dancing with the Angels Location + Parking
Free parking is available for all Dancing with the Angels participants. Please park in the Upper Large Lot, east of the Garces Memorial High School Football field, located off Monte Vista Drive. The Dance Studio is located east of the Wrestling Room.
